"Ego Death" is an original portrait painting from the artist's 2021 solo exhibition, "Euphoria". Using a combination of acrylic fluid art and traditional oil painting techniques, this piece is a psychedelic expression of the artist's portrayal of the phenomenon known as ego death, in which an individual experiences a complete loss of subjective self-identity. It was created by first using acrylic paint to produce the facade of an effortlessly fluid background, then with oil paint to complete the figure. It is hand stretched on heavy duty pine stretcher bars by the artist herself, and finished with an archival UV resistant gloss varnish.
